Right away she started flirting with Axel. She tells them that a bunch of Landmark City's top officials, including its mayor, were meeting at the resort for a conference on crime. When the Alpha Teens go on vacation at a ski resort on Iron Mountain, a mountain made up mostly of iron ore, they first met Magness, under the guise of the ski resort's doctor. While Magness is Paine's daughter, she is not officially part of his gang. Magness also knows martial arts to the point where she can keep up with Axel in a fair fight. But her powers are weakened by extreme heat, i.e. Her magnetic powers are increased in extreme cold, i.e. The extent of which is her ability to control most metals (gold being one exception), disrupting electronics, levitation and canceling Jo-Lan powers. Samantha Paine aka Magness is the daughter of Alexander Paine. In the second season Magness appeared in a suit consisting of black trousers with a fiery and print at the bottom of the jacket, a red shirt and a black shirt underneath. The entire first season of junior Paine wears a black oriental tunic with a cut on his right hip, Asian-type red jacket with short sleeves and a symbol "+" on the left shoulder and "-" on the right, straight black trousers and matching mittens labeled poles respectively.
